Malaysian Moto2 star Hafizh Syahrin is being hotly tipped as the man to replace Jonas Folger in Herve Poncharal's Monster Yamaha MotoGP team.
The French team boss said he would not go poaching contracted riders to fill the German's shoes and would only take on a rider who already has a job if the team gave assurances the space he left had been filled.
Syahrin had been drafted into Team SIC as they made their move into Moto2 and would ride alongside Moto3 regulars Adam Norrodin and Ayumu Sasaki but it looks now like he will go to MotoGP with Poncharal.
