Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi has again dismissed talk of retirement and expects to wrap up his deal with Petronas Yamaha at Barcelona.
In the run up to Rossi's home round of Misano this weekend, rumour was rife that Rossi had changed his mind and would announce his retirement.
However, this afternoon he said there was no truth in the rumours and he was still ironing out details.
"Is not true. The situation is like two or three weeks ago. We take time with Yamaha because we are not in a hurry," said Rossi, speaking at the track.
"We have some things to fix but we are very close to sign and I will race with Petronas next year, I want to say 99 per cent, but I think maybe in Barcelona we can give the announcement."
