2026 Assen BSB Results, Sunday: Race 3

Ian Hopgood Photography

Results from Race 3 at the 2026 Assen BSB, the opening round of the Showdown segment of the 2026 season.

Kyle Ryde took his 14th win of the 2026 BSB season in Race 3 at Assen, beating Bradley Ray and Scott Redding in the final run to the line.

The three of them had been part of a quartet at the front in the first part of the race, but Ryan Vickers fell away in the second half, ending up fourth.

The front three stayed together until the finish. For much of the race it looked as though it would be Ray, if anyone, that would beat Ryde, who led almost throughout, but any pass made by the McAMS Yamaha rider received a quick response from Ryde.

A decisive response came on the penultimate lap, when Ray had passed Ryde at turn eight and the championship leader responded at the last chicane. Ray lost momentum as a result of that pass, and that cost him position to Redding at turn one on the final lap.

Redding waited until the final chicane to make his move. He got down the inside of Ryde, but ran in deep and lost the rear as he changed direction from left to right. That gave Ryde the run on him, and also cost him position to Ray who took second, a tenth behind Ryde.

Behind Vickers in fourth was Max Cook, while Leon Haslam completed the top-six having started at the back of the grid. Ilya Mikhalchik had been in contention for a top-six spot but crashed at Ramshoek.

The top-10 was completed by Rory Skinner, Danny Kent, Jason O'Halloran, and Glenn Irwin.

Race 2

Scott Redding won a shortened Race 2 at Assen as rain arrived with three laps to go. Bradley Ray took second after a move on Kyle Ryde who took a cautious approach as the rain arrived.

Ryan Vickers was fourth ahead of Max Cook, Ilya Mikhalchik, Jason O'Halloran, Glenn Irwin, Lee Jackson, and Andrew Irwin who rounded out the top-10.

Rory Skinner didn't start the race after his bike expired on the warm-up lap. The race was delayed by around 30 minutes as a result as the fluid spilled by Skinner's bike had to be cleaned.
