Rich Energy OMG Yamaha’s Kyle Ryde is refreshed and ready for round five of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend.
Brands Hatch sees the series resume after the early summer break with Ryde sitting fifth in the standings. A win, three podiums, and a raft of front-row starts already under his belt, it’s been a strong start to 2022 for the Nottinghamshire rider, and one he hopes to continue as the battle for the eight Showdown places heats up further.
“I’ve had a great break since Knockhill with a little holiday, some live music, and a day at WorldSBK to support Taz [Mackenzie], so the batteries are now fully charged for the Showdown battle,” Ryde explained ahead of the weekend.
“Some of our recent results haven’t been where I wanted them to be but that’s past now and all attention is on Brands Hatch this weekend. The Yamaha R1 and the team have been mega and I just want to secure that Showdown place before we look any further into the season.”
