The start to 2023 has not been what Danny Buchan would have wanted, with points being few and far between so far this season.
Danny Buchan came into the 2023 season with a point to prove with the Synetiq BMW Motorrad squad. However, so far this season nothing has gone to plan for the team or rider.
Buchan currently lies 19th in the Championship and has 25 points to his name. So far this season his best result has been a 10th place at Silverstone and Donington Park. But at Brands Hatch over the weekend the best result Buchan could manage was a 12th place finish.
For the opening race of the weekend Buchan did not even make it to the start line as his BMW broke down on the Warm Up Lap. Then in the second race Buchan once again did not finish, meaning the only race he finished was the final race of the weekend.
"The weekend showed some promise early on during free practice and qualifying but didn’t pan out the way we wanted," said Buchan after another torrid weekend.
"Lady Luck certainly isn’t on my side at the minute and making it difficult to find the confidence I need to show what I’m truly capable of, but we will continue to put the effort in and hopefully turn this around in the second half of the season."
