2026 Snetterton BSB Results, Saturday: Race 1

Ian Hopgood Photography

Results from Race 1 at the 2026 Snetterton BSB, the fourth round of the 2026 season.

Bradley Ray took victory in Race 1 at Snetterton, which was red flagged twice. The first red flag was for a incident caused by Graeme Irwin at turn two on the opening lap which took out Glenn Irwin, Rory Skinner, and Charlie Nesbitt as well as Graeme Irwin.

The second red flag decided the race, coming just after the leaders had started the final lap; as Christian Iddon was rounding the penultimate turn on the final lap, his SENCAT Yamaha expired and spilled fluid on the circuit, necessitating a stoppage. With the leaders on the final lap, there was no possibility to restart the race and Ray, who had led most of the second half of the race, was declared the winner.

Ray took the lead from Max Cook, who in turn had taken over at the front from Ray around the half-distance mark, but the Bimota broke a gear link with three laps to go, taking him out of second place.

That promoted Scott Redding to the second podium position, and it appeared he was preparing to attack Ray on the final lap before the red flag for Iddon.

Cook's retirement also meant that Kyle Ryde was promoted to the podium. Ryde had lost touch with the front three mid-race when Storm Stacey's Ducati blew up on the back straight, the championship leader finishing 3.5 seconds adrift in the end, but almost three seconds ahead of Leon Haslam in fourth.

Ryan Vickers completed the top-five ahead of Joe Talbot, Josh Brookes, Jason O'Halloran, Ilya Mikhalchik, and Lee Jackson who rounded out the top-10.

Qualifying

Bradley Ray took pole position at Snetterton, his first of the season at the fourth round, as he set a new lap record, beating the previous record set by Shane Byrne in 2016. Max Cook and Storm Stacey completed the top-three, and were the only riders other than Ray to lap in the 1:45s.

Leon Haslam was fourth ahead of Scott Redding and Kyle Ryde on an all-Ducati row two, while Joe Talbot, Christian Iddon, and Ryan Vickers make up row three. Josh Brookes completed the qualifying top-10 and will be joined by Ilya Mikhalchik and Rory Skinner on the fourth row.

Glenn Irwin did not set a time in qualifying due to apparent technical problems with his Ducati, but qualified 15th as a result of finishing Friday's pre-qualifying inside the top-12 and thus making it directly into Q2.
