After filling in for the injured Andrew Irwin last time out at Snetterton, Franco Bourne will once again be on the Honda Racing UK Superbike this weekend at Brands Hatch as Irwin continues with his recovery.

Franco Bourne, who is contracted with the Marvel HCL Honda squad in SSTK, will have his second weekend in the British Superbike class at Brands Hatch. Andrew Irwin is still recovering from his crash at the Knockhill test so Bourne will continue to deputise for him.

Bourne will continue to adapt to the Honda Superbike and will want to build on his performances at the last round at Snetterton. The young SSTK rider has had great success around Brands Hatch in the past in the Honda British Talent Cup and the Junior Superstock class.

"I am feeling good heading into round six and I’m back to full fitness after the crash at Snetterton." said Franco Bourne ahead of his second weekend in the BSB class.

"Brands Hatch has always been a good circuit for me in the past, I’ve won in Honda British Talent Cup and last year in Junior Superstock. I feel ready to get back into things and continue learning with the team, taking things step by step and getting to know the Superbike more.

"I just need more time on the bike to get that feeling of what the bike does in different scenarios. I am definitely getting on really well with the team and I’m excited to see what we can do."
