7-5-10 scorecard for Leon Haslam at last weekend's Brands Hatch BSB at least meant solid points for the #91, but his performances were held back by recurring "issues".
On the face of it, top 10 results are at least a step forward for Haslam compared to where he was at Snetterton, with no points scored on Sunday at all at round five.
However, the repetitive issues at round six clearly dampened Haslam's mood. “The sprint race a bit tough," he declared after the Brands Hatch weekend. "We kept having an issue which meant we dropped back. Luckily, the race got red-flagged which allowed us to make a little change for the restart.
“We got a good start and ended up fifth. The pace was very similar to yesterday, possibly good for maybe a second place but we were really really struggling to get the bike to stop and pass people.
“In that last, 20-lapper, from lap one we had the same problems again so it was a tough race. We got a good start, dropped back and I couldn’t really pass anyone. I did have a good battle with [Jason] O’Halloran and [Josh Brookes] at the end and I managed to get Brookes on the last lap but the results weren’t what we really wanted this weekend.”
