Tarran Mackenzie will remain with the Redline KTM team for another year to contest the Monster British Motostar series alongside his Red Bull Rookies duties.
The Scottish youngster raced for the Loughborough-based dealer in 2012 on the KTM RC125 two-stroke machine, achieving two podiums with a best of second place at his home round at Knockhill.
For 2013 he will graduate to the the KTM RC250R - the production version of the Austrian firm’s Moto3 championship-winning machine as ridden by Sandro Cortese.
“I’m very happy to be with Redline again for another shot at the British Motostar championship. This season had some great moments but winning is my only goal in 2013. I can’t wait to ride the new four-stroke KTM. I’m told they’re easier to ride than two-strokes; I guess I’ll find out soon," said Mackenzie.
