Monster Energy Yamaha prepares for Round 18 of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship at the Chang International Circuit.
The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team are preparing for the Thai Grand Prix this weekend. Only a week after the Australian Grand Prix Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins are ready to ride their Yamaha M1s again.
The Australian Grand Prix was not a huge success for Yamaha who struggled in the Sprint Race. However, on Sunday Quartararo managed to find his way into the top ten in the Grand Prix. The French rider is looking forward to the Thai Grand Prix as he has previous form around the Chang Internation Circuit.
"We travelled from Australia straight to Thailand, which is good," Quartararo stated. "After a difficult weekend, it's good to have back-to-back races so we can compare the data from different tracks. I like the Chang circuit, and the fans' support is also really great there. Hopefully, we get lucky with the weather so we can get a lot of work done and the fans can fully enjoy the race weekend as well."

Despite Quartararo finishing the Australian Grand Prix in ninth Rins still struggled at Phillip Island. The Spanish rider ended the 27-lap race in Australia in 13th place as his 2024 struggles continue.
Rins believes that he made positive steps at Phillip Island and will use the Thai Grand Prix as a chance to check if his new improvements from Phillip Island work at different circuits.
Rins said: "At the last GP, we struggled in the Sprint, and despite doing a great job and finding a better performance on Sunday, we were still outside the top 10 and missing some speed compared to the others. The Thai GP will be a great opportunity to check if last Sunday's improvement is also effective on other circuits and to keep developing the bike, so I can't wait to be on track."
