After crashing in Thailand Fermin Aldeguer must undergo hand surgery, which may impact his first MotoGP Test.
Fermin Aldeguer crashed on the first lap of the Moto2 race in Thailand. The Moto2 star requires surgery on his left hand, and a return date can't yet be confirmed.
This crash and surgery will now potentially impact Aldeguer's first taste of a MotoGP machine. The Spaniard will move into the Gresini Racing Team in 2025 and ride a year-old Ducati. Aldeguer is supposed to ride at the Valencia MotoGP Test just days after the Valencian Grand Prix.
However, this surgery may stop Aldeguer from riding a MotoGP machine in the Valencia Test. This outcome is not ideal for the 2025 MotoGP rookie.
"I'm disappointed with how my race ended," Aldeguer posted to social media.
"I had good expectations and instead it went the way it went. The impact with Tony Arbolino was hard and I regret how things went.
"Now I have to focus on my recovery and I hope to get back on track as soon as possible. I'm coming home earlier than expected, but I'll try to get back on track in Valencia. I'll keep you informed!"
