Aleix Espargaro will ride for the Aprilia Gresini Racing team in MotoGP after signing a two year contract for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, and will partner British rider Sam Lowes.
The Spaniard is currently competing in the premier class with the Suzuki Ecstar outfit, but will now ride an Aprilia RS-GP next season.
In MotoGP, Espargaro has taken two pole positions and a podium finish, as well as seventh place in the rider standings (his personal best) for the 2014 championship season.
