Bardahl renews partnership with Mooney VR46

Mooney VR46 Racing Team has confirmed a three-year deal with Bardahl, as the lubricants brand continues as sponsor in both MotoGP and Moto2.

Bardahl, Italian manufacturer and worldwide distributor of lubricants and additives, began its partnership with VR46 in 2020 as part of its Moto2 outfit before expanding the agreement into the Italian CIV Championship with a goal to nurture the talent of young Italian riders. The Bardahl VR46 Riders Academy Team won the national title in its rookie season with Elia Bartolini. The 18-year-old also featured in six replacement rides in Moto3 last year, securing him a full-time ride in the World Championship paddock from 2022 with the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 squad.

The new season, which commences on March 6th at Qatar’s inaugural race, sees Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi form the Mooney VR46 Racing Team in the premier class riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP bikes, while Celestino Vietti and Niccolò Antonelli pair up in Moto2. The Bardahl logo will be present across all four bikes, riders leathers, garage and truck liveries for the three-year deal.

"I am really happy to be able to communicate the renewal of the current contract with Bardahl and to be able to count them among our major partners for the team’s debut in MotoGP,” Mooney VR46 Racing Team Director Alessio ‘Uccio’ Salucci confirmed.

"Bardahl is a historic brand in the racing world and it was very important to be able to extend our collaboration also for the future. The human relationship and the synergy created with Cosimo [Campolmi] is strong and led us to win the title at the CIV last year. The Mooney VR46 Racing Team is a very important project for us, which has great ambitions and therefore we can only be happy with this new agreement.”

"When we have signed this partnership two years ago, we were aware of starting a path together with a group of passionate, competent and courageous people with whom we shared the same values, the same passions and that mad desire to make a difference and fighting for chase a dream,” Bardahl Italia General Manager, Campolmi added.

“We believed in the potential of this project and we share the same values at the basis of everything: the VR46 Riders Academy. As Bardahl Italia company and motorcycle enthusiasts, we can only support all the activities that involve the young Italian talents, because we fully embrace their philosophy and spirit.

“The results achieved and the new MotoGP project has convinced us to continue this partnership with greater commitment and renewed enthusiasm. We will finalise our commitment also to the development of new products which, tested and developed directly on the track as well as in the Academy's training sessions, will allow us to continue our growth and to be able to offer new and reliable technology to all motorcyclists."
