Aron Canet and Barry Baltus will line up for Fantic Racing in the 2025 Moto2 Championship.
The Fantic Racing Team have completed their 2025 Moto2 rider lineup. The Italian team announced earlier in the season that they would be retaining Aron Canet for a second season.
However, his teammate for next year has now been announced as Barry Baltus. The Belgian rider will be entering his fifth season in Moto2 in 2025 having previously ridden for the Dutch RW Racing squad.
The 20-year-old has shown flashes of promise in Moto2 but has struggled for consistency during his career. Currently, Baltus is 21st in the Moto2 World Championship with one round remaining of the 2024 season.
Baltus' 2024 season peaked at Round One when he stood on the podium for the first time in Moto2. Since then Baltus has scored points on four occasions.
Barry Baltus said: "I am very happy to have joined Fantic Racing and I will wear the team's colours with pride! It is a top team that is ambitious and whose project corresponds to what I wanted for my career. They are constantly fighting for the top positions and I am very motivated to work with them."
Stefano Bedon, Fantic Racing Moto2 Project Manager, said: "We are pleased to welcome Barry Baltus to our project. After four years with the same team, where he already achieved a podium finish, it was the right time for him to seek new challenges. Having a teammate of Canet’s calibre will provide him with a valuable opportunity to further improve, and we are ready to support him fully in this journey."
