Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss will test the Ducati Desmosedici GP9 MotoGP bike at Mugello next week alongside regular rider Vito Guareschi.

Details on the test are sketchy, as are the reasons, but a team spokesman said that the factory will have Bayliss on the bike again later in the year and that "Ducati can thus count on the feedback of a three times world champion, whose talent and experience will contribute to the continuous development work carried out on the Desmosedici GP9 and GP10."
