Former GSE Racing British Superbike technican Frankie Carchedi will swap Suzuki for Ducati in 2023 when he joins the Gresini Ducati MotoGP team.

Carchedi steered Joan Mir to the 2020 World title but wasn’t able to move to Honda with his rider as HRC is something of a closed shop.

“With Frankie, we met some races ago and we start to talk to each other. I like him, he is super-precise and he knows what to do, let’s say,” said Giannantonio.

“Having a guy in the garage who is super-experienced and knows 100 per cent what he is doing and more or less the conrtrol of everything is a huge help for the confidence.”
