LCR Honda's Randy de Puniet will skip the offical MotoGP test in Jerez next week in order to recover from the wrist injury that has been nagging him since Misano.
The Frenchman went straight for treatment after his first run out on Bridgestone tyres at Valencia in late October and his team reckon they have enough data to be getting on with.
Surgery is not necessary to sort out the injury, but de Puniet is having to wear a protective support and his training scheme is currently limited to running and cycling.
He will return to action at the official MotoGP test in Sepang on February 5.
