Yamaha Brasil is now directly supporting Moto2 superstar, Diogo Moreira.
Diogo Moreira is Brazil's greatest hope at a new MotoGP superstar as the 20-year-old is currently competing in Moto2.
The Brazilian rider may be one step closer to a potential future in the premier class as he is now being supported by Yamaha Brasil. This means that Moreira has an indirect link to the Japanese manufacturer and their MotoGP project.
The 2026 MotoGP season will see the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna, in Goiâna near the capital Brasília. The best case scenario for Brazilian fans would be a Brazilian MotoGP rider on track at his home Grand Prix.
Moreira is in his second season in the Moto2 World Championship with the Italtrans Racing Team. The Brazilian sits fourth in the standings after the opening Grand Prix in Thailand, where he finished in fourth, but was 0.2 seconds away from a podium place.
If the 20-year-old can challenge for consistent results at the sharp end of the Moto2 World Championship he could catapult himself into contention for a MotoGP seat.
Moreira could even find himself on a Yamaha M1 in 2026 in the Prima Pramac Yamaha Factory Racing Team, as Jack Miller's contract expires at the end of 2025.
