Scott Redding will start tomorrow's 125cc GP race at Donington Park on the front row. Today's second qualifying was held in wet conditions so yesterday's times from the first session stand.
Redding is the first Brit to start from the front row of a British Grand Prix grid since Niall Mackenzie did it back in nineteen hundreed and frozen to death.
He said: "The main thing was not to crash and that is why I rode calmly. I tried some modifications to the rear tyre and it worked."
Bradley Smith will head the third row, although he was ninth quickest in wet qualifying, while Danny Webb is in 14th.
