Ducati, Bagnaia and Bastianini get 2024 MotoGP title defence underway with GP24 launch

The title-winning Ducati Lenovo Team has gotten its 2024 MotoGP World Championship defence underway with the unveiling of its Ducati GP24.

The factory-outfit revealed the machine - complete with a revised scarlet livery - at its annual official Ducati presentation event at Madonna di Campiglio in Italy, together with its Aruba.it Ducati Panigale V4 R contender for WorldSBK.

The team is eyeing a third consecutive World Championship title with Pecco Bagnaia, the Italian having fended off Jorge Martin to win back-to-back crowns at the 2023 Valencia MotoGP finale.

He is joined once more by Enea Bastianini, who will be looking for a fresh start with the factory team after having much of his 2023 MotoGP campaign squandered by injury woes sustained at the start of the year in Portugal and then again in Spain.

"I am delighted to be back in Madonna di Campiglio to present our MotoGP and WorldSBK teams as World Champions,” said Ducati Corse General Manager, Luigi Dall’Igna.

“2023 was truly an unforgettable year, and now we're here to kick off the new season and embrace the challenges that lie ahead in 2024.

“In MotoGP, the Ducati Lenovo Team will feature World Champion Pecco Bagnaia alongside Enea Bastianini again.

“Unfortunately, Bastianini couldn't showcase his full potential last year due to numerous injuries, but we are optimistic about his performance this season."

Though bearing all the hallmarks of Ducati’s MotoGP entries since its debut, the Ducati GP24 once again boasts significant branding from title backers Lenovo, with blue, yellow and red flashes from its association with Shell.
