Ducati launch postponed as Miller tests positive for Covid

Ducati Lenovo’s 2022 season launch has been postponed after Jack Miller tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

Miller, who was scheduled to travel back from Australia for the January 28th launch, is currently asymptomatic but in self-isolation at home before taking a second PCR test next week.

The 2022 Ducati Lenovo Team launch, initially set to take place at Ducati’s European base in Italy, will be postponed until 7th February 2022 at 3pm UK time immediately following the Sepang preseason test. The liveries, however, will be revealed on 31st January, ahead of the three day Malaysia shakedown featuring factory test rider Michele Pirro.

“Unfortunately, I’ve tested positive for Covid-19, which means I am unable to travel to Europe,” Miller confirmed.

“I am still home in Australia and doing fine. Since I don’t have any symptoms, at least I can continue with my training here on the farm. I miss you all and will see you in Sepang for the test.”
