Ducati MotoGP chief Gigi Dall’Igna has prioritised securing the signature of Andrea Dovizioso for the next two seasons and until that happens any negotiations with other riders will wait.
It is believed the firm’s initial offer to Dovizioso was rejected as there weren’t the required number of zeroes on it and Dall’Igna thinks a decision will be made on or around the weekend of Mugello.
“At the moment our focus is to find an agreement with Dovizioso. After that, we will try to start the negotiations with other riders,” said Dall’Igna, speaking at the Imola WorldSBK round.
"I think that we will solve this problem soon. We are negotiating with Andrea, but the negotiations are not easy. I think Dovi will say yes or no to us at Mugello."
