Moto3 Rookie, Eddie O'Shea, will miss the Moto3 Indonesian Grand Prix after breaking a metacarpal.
Eddie O'Shea was making his World Championship debut this weekend at Mandalika in Moto3. However, the new MLav Racing rider will not participate in Sunday's Moto3 Indonesian Grand Prix.
O'Shea broke a metacarpal bone in his left hand during a crash in the opening Qualifying session. The 18-year-old had been putting together a great debut weekend as he qualified in 20th place on the Moto3 grid.
In a statement, the MLav Racing Team said: "Eddie O'Shea has been declared unfit to race after his crash during Q1. He's broken a metacarpal bone in his left hand. We wish you a speedy recovery Eddie! We are very proud of all the work you have done over the weekend. We hope to see you back soon!"
It is now highly likely that O'Shea will miss the Japanese Grand Prix next weekend at Motegi.
MLav Racing still have Scott Ogden on the grid, who has had a positive weekend so far at Mandalika. The British rider will start Sunday's Grand Prix from 12th on the grid.
