Ellison back in the points with Aprilia help

Britain's James Ellison picked up another good point-scoring postition at the Misano MotoGP round, coming home in 13th place and just running out of laps before he could catch and pass 12th-placed man Yonny Hernandez.

The Kendal man recovered from a startline error which saw hit the pitlane limiter instead of launch control (both blue buttons) but he recovered well to put in fast, consistent laptimes. The PBM Aprilia man was only two-tenths down on Hernandez at the chequered flag and could have done with one more circuit to go a place better.

"I was pretty pleased with the way free practices went, even though the conditions were mixed and pretty treacherous at times. We did a lot of good work with the electronics and had some further help from Aprilia, which made life a little easier," said Ellison, who has picked up new sponsors in the shape of youwin.gp and BodyHelix Europe.

"The start was chaos and in the middle of it, I made a schoolboy error and hit pitlane limiter instead of launch control. After that, I just got my head down, lapped well and came home in 13th. Another lap or two and I would have got Hernandez, but maybe we will save that for Aragon."
