Ellison 'only grazed' after Aragon MotoGP test crash

PBM Aprilia's James Ellison walked away with a couple of grazes after a crash on the second day of MotoGP CRT testing at Motorland Aragon yesterday.

The Kendal man, along with the rest of the field, had a fruitless two-day session at the Spanish track as high winds and cold track temperatures prevented any of those present from doing any useful work. Ellison was caught by a highside after just a handful of laps but escaped injury.

"It was incredibly windy on the first day it was quite dangerous and the track temperature was very low so it was very hard to keep any temperature in the tyres at all while the wind had blown sand on to the surface as well," said crew chief Mick Shanley, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"Once the tyres had got up to any sort of temperature, the track was so cold, they were losing it again, so grip was very difficult to judge. James is only grazed after his fall."
