Fabio di Giannantonio will remain on the MotoGP grid in 2024 after securing a place in the VR46 Racing Ducati team.
Replacing Repsol Honda-bound Luca Marini, di Giannantonio switches from fellow satellite Ducati team Gresini Racing to be paired with Marco Bezzecchi in the Valentino Rossi-owned outfit.
His signing comes after weeks of uncertainty regarding his future in the wake of being axed by Gresini in favour of Marc Marquez.
However, a string of strong results during the latter portion of the season - including his maiden victory in the penultimate Qatar MotoGP round - has secured a stay of execution for what will be his third season in the premier class.
"I’m happy to join such a strong Team as the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, I can learn a lot and I can’t wait to start working together on this project, we can do really good things.
“In the last two seasons in MotoGP, I have grown a lot and in this team I will certainly be able to mature further and achieve great results.
“I’m excited, I can’t wait to meet all my new staff and crew and start working on the track. Thanks to everyone who made this possible"
