Fabio di Giannantonio says he is expecting to make an announcement regarding his 2024 MotoGP World Championship plans next time out in Malaysia as talk of him joining Repsol Honda gathers steam.
The Italian has emerged as the most likely candidate to succeed Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda for the 2024 MotoGP season with only three rounds of the 2023 campaign remaining.
Indeed, with first choice Miguel Oliveira officially ruling himself out in Thailand, attention has turned to di Giannantonio as HRC’s new target.
It is a deal he duly hinted at following the Thailand MotoGP when speaking with reporters, including Crash.net
“For sure we are working, and I hope also to give you some good news. But I think that something really, really nice is coming. So I'm not in a rush at the moment.
“I want to enjoy this week [off], work well with my staff at home to prepare my future, and then we will see. Maybe I can give [tell] you something for Malaysia.’
