Fabio Quartararo has experienced his best results of a rather disappointing 2023 season at the end of the season. However, he has laid out some clear demands to Yamaha ahead of next season.
With just three race weekends left of the 2023 season Fabio Quartararo has made stern warnings to Yamaha about his future with the Japanese manufacturer.
The 2021 World Champion has only made his way onto the podium three times so far this season, which is the lowest amount of podiums in a single season since he got promoted to MotoGP.
After the Thai Grand Prix the Frenchman made some clear comments to the media about the progress that Yamaha have to make for next season.
“I gave some really clear comments to Yamaha,” Quartararo said in Buriram. "Now, it’s in their hands to make that step next year.
“There are still three races remaining. Of course it’s important to make it in the next three races. But we really have to focus for next year.”
“Hopefully Yamaha can make a big step forward for next year."
Quartararo does have a contract for next season, but after Marc Marquez and Jonathan Rea both ripped up their contracts for 2024, and moved on to new manufacturers, it is clear that Quartararo could do the same.
