Francisco Hernando Ducati MotoGP rider Sete Gibernau is due to leave hospital this afternoon after undergoing an operation to pin and plate the collarbone he re-injured during a practice crash on Saturday.
The Spaniard underwent surgery yesterday to to secure a transversal displaced fracture to the middle of his left collarbone. A team spokesman said that Dr Mir, who performed the surgery, thinks Gibernau will be fit for activity inside four weeks which may rule him out of the Calatan MotoGP race.
