Jake Dixon says it is ‘good to be back’ in action after being forced onto the sidelines through injury as he turned in top five pace in Friday practice for the Moto2 Grand Prix of The Americas.
The CFMoto Aspar Team rider is yet to start a race this season after a high-speed accident during practice for the curtain raising Qatar Moto2 ruled out of both that event and the following round in Portugal.
Though admitting to still not being 100% in terms of physical health, he feels prepared to hit the ground running at the Circuit of The Americas venue where he achieved his maiden grand prix podium in 2022.
"It is good to be back after such a long time. Even though it has been already five weeks, I am still recovering, and I am still not feeling 100%.
“I need to take it one day by day, session by session. I have to rest and continue working on Saturday."
