Eric Granado maintained his dominance atop the timesheets on the third and final day of MotoE World Championship testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as attentions now turn to the season opener at Le Mans next month.

In what will be the all-electric series' fifth season on the MotoGP World Championship support bill, MotoE's nine teams continued putting miles on the new Ducati V21L prototype machine, which replaces the Energica Ego for 2023.

Runner-up to Dominique Aegerter in 2022, Granado - who is dovetailing his MotoE commitments with a stint in the WorldSBK Championship with Petronas MIE Honda - was fastest over a single lap for the third day in a row.

Riding the LCR E-Team entry, the Brazilian led the way with a 1m 47.221secs lap - almost three seconds faster than his pole-winning lap from the 2021 MotoE race in Catalunya on the Energica.

Chasing him in second place was new Pons signing Nicholas Spinelli, the Italian another to combine a MotoE campaign with a season in the WorldSSP Championship on the VFT Yamaha.

The Italian was also fastest of all in the race simulation test at the end of the third day, coming in just over two seconds ahead of Randy Krummenacher - who takes over from departed 2022 champion Aegerter at Dynavolt IntactGP - and Spinelli's team-mate Mattia Casadei.

Behind Granado and Spinelli on the single lap timesheets over the three days was Casadei, Gresini's Matteo Ferrari and RNF rider Andrea Mantovani.

The opening round of the 2023 MotoE World Championship kicks off at Le Mans on 13 May. The season will comprise an expanded schedule of 16 races over eight double-header events.
