Former MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden is to take part in the X-Games Supermoto races this weekend. The Kentucky Kid will be in the Troy Lee Honda squad alongside motocross legend Jeff Ward.
A spokesman for the team said: "In a deal that came together on Monday that had Nicky arriving back in California and testing by mid-day Tuesday, Team TLD has pulled together the necessary resources to place Nicky on a competitive machine in very short order!
"With special thanks and acknowledgement to both American Honda and Red Bull, who both worked quickly and proactively to help line everything up, expectations are high for a spectacular showing for Team TLD and Honda at this year’s X-Games."
