HRC boss Shuhei Nakamoto has confirmed that Honda has competed a successful test of its 2014 production MotoGP bike, which is scheduled to see the public light of day during the Valencia round at the end of this year.

The test, which was carried out by an unnamed rider in Repsol Honda-branded RSTaichi leathers at Honda's own Twin-Ring Motegi circuit over the past few days. This is the bike Dorna hope will help to swell grids and banish CRT.

"The test results showed more than what we had expected, in particular, with its running performance. We are very pleased at this stage and we will announce more in the not too distant future," said Nakamoto.
