Honda become the latest manufacturer to reportedly offer Pedro Acosta a deal for the 2026 MotoGP season.
Over the weekend at the Qatar Grand Prix, new reports were published regarding Pedro Acosta's future.
Acosta, who is currently contracted to KTM for 2026, has been one of the major talking points in the 2026 MotoGP rider market.
The former Moto2 and Moto3 World Champion has been linked to Ducati, Yamaha and Honda. However, it has been reported that Honda has put a rather lucrative offer on Acosta's table.
Motosan have reported that Honda could fill Luca Marini's seat next season as the Italian rider's contract expires at the end of this season. They have also stated that Honda has offered Acosta a three-year €30 million contract.
With Honda's clear ambition to return to the front in MotoGP and its development to the RC213V, it would make sense that they would target the 'next big thing' in the MotoGP paddock.
This rumour has also started doing the rounds at the same time as a similar rumour surrounding Toprak Razgatlioglu and Honda.
Pedro Acosta's start to the 2025 season:
The 2025 MotoGP season is Acosta's second year in the premier class and his first within the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing garage.
However, like the rest of the KTM riders, Acosta has had a disappointing start to the season. After four rounds, the 20-year-old finds himself 11th in the standings with a best Grand Prix result of eighth place.
The Spaniard is the top KTM rider in the Championship with 24 points to his name. Two more than his teammate Brad Binder and three more than KTM rookie Enea Bastianini.
Other rumours surrounding Acosta's future:
It has also been reported that the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team have been keeping an eye on Acosta. Team Owner Valentino Rossi has spoken highly about Acosta and reportedly has given him 'an option' to ride for his team next season.
