The 2024 World Championship could be won this weekend in Malaysia by Prima Pramac Racing rider Jorge Martin.
Jorge Martin has his best chance to win his first MotoGP World Championship this season. With only two rounds left of the Championship Martin has a 17-point lead over his title rival, Francesco Bagnaia.
Throughout the 2024 season, Martin has only won three Grands Prix and six Sprint Races. However, his biggest asset this season has been his consistency, which he has struggled with in the past. The Spaniard has only failed to finish in two Grands Prix and failed to score points in one Sprint Race.
After struggling with the pressure in 2023 and losing the title to Bagnaia, Martin believes he has made a big step in 2024.
"As I have said before it is a big privilege to be here again," Martin said in the Thursday Press Conference. "I think that last year I felt really tense and really nervous, especially in Qatar I was really struggling with the situation. I felt a lot of pressure and this year the pressure is still there but I think I have improved a lot. I am a lot more mature, yesterday I was enjoying the moment.
"I know I can lose it, but I know I can win it. Last year I lost it and nothing happened to me so it is not the end of the world, but I will try my 100% to get it this season."
