Jake Dixon is confident he can secure a good result at this weekend's Argentine Grand Prix.
This weekend at Termas de Rio Hondo, Jake Dixon expects to fight further towards the front than he did in Thailand.
The British rider ended his season opener, and debut race with the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team, in seventh place. The Thai Grand Prix was Dixon's first experience with a Boscoscuro chassis in race conditions and he felt like seventh was a safe finishing position.
However, this weekend Dixon is expecting more from himself at the Argentine Grand Prix. In the past, Dixon has had success in South America as he stood on the podium the last time he visited in 2023.
“I’m looking forward to going back to Argentina," Dixon said.
"Termas is a track that I really like, and it was good to me last time when I managed to finish on the podium in difficult conditions.
"Back in 2022 as well I was strong and always fighting in and around the top five, so it is a track that suits me.
"It was good to gain some more experience with the Boscoscuro in the first race in Thailand and come away with a solid result.
"We know there is still plenty more to come but I expect to be stronger again this weekend in Argentina and can’t wait to get going.”
