Joe Roberts will embark on a return to the American Racing team for the 2024 Moto2 World Championship season as he looks to recapture the form that saw him challenging towards the front of the field.
The Californian spent two seasons with the US-based outfit in 2019 and 2020, Roberts breaking through during the latter of these campaigns with a handful of strong results, including his maiden Moto2 pole position in Qatar and podium in Brno.
His performances earned him a switch to Italtrans for 2021 - replacing MotoGP-bound World Champion Enea Bastianini - where he’d remain for three seasons.

However, for 2024 Roberts will return to familiar surroundings in the Eitan Butbul-helmed team to compete alongside Rory Skinner.
“I’m very, very excited to have Joe back with American Racing for the 2024 season.
“Our journey started together in 2019 when we first acquired the team and then continued to 2020, where Joe had a great year resulting in the best season the team has had to date.
“We both feel that we have unfinished business and it’s time to get together and fight for the 2024 championship!
“I know that Joe is in the best shape of his career, and it feels great to see him coming back home to the team. With this combination, we believe we can make America great again!”
