After a year in Moto3, Joel Esteban will return to Junior GP for the 2025 season.
Joel Esteban was given one year to prove himself in the Moto3 World Championship in 2024.
The Spaniard was teammates with the eventual Champion, David Alonso, in the CFMOTO Aspar Team. However, Esteban only managed to finish 17th in the standings.
Esteban will remain in the Aspar Teams outfit in 2025, but he will return to the Junior GP Championship. He previously competed in the series with Aspar in 2023, when he finished fourth in the standings.
The 19-year-old scored 45 points during the 2024 Moto3 World Championship. He had a best result of fourth place at the French Grand Prix in the first half of the season. However, after a positive start to his rookie year, he saw a decrease in positive results.
A year back in Junior GP could set the teenager up for a return to the Grand Prix paddock in 2026 if he can impress in 2025.
