Jordi Torres will enter into a sixth season of racing in the MotoE World Championship after confirming he will remain with the Aspar Team for the 2024 season.

Torres, MotoE World Cup Champion in 2020 and 2021, will be joined in the Spanish outfit by Kevin Zannoni, who switches from Ongetta SIC58 Squadracorse and replaces Maria Herrera.

For Torres, the 2024 MotoE season will be his chance to go one better than this year on the Ducati V21L after finishing runner-up to World Champion Mattia Casadei.

Twice a race winner in 2023, Torres is one of three confirmed riders that have competed in MotoE since its inaugural campaign in 2019.

"We have closed a great season as the MotoE runner-ups," he said. "It has been a year full of emotions, with good and bad moments, but in which we have fought together as a great team.

"I am very happy to have experienced this first season with the Openbank Aspar Team, which is already a second family for me, and to continue now in 2024 fighting together again for the title.”

Zannoni, meanwhile, will enter into his fourth season of MotoE action off the back of his strongest campaign yet in 2023. Achieving his first career podiums - two third place finishes in Austria - Zannoni is keen to get a first win under his belt now.

“My goal this season with the Openbank Aspar Team will be to be competitive in every race and to fight for podiums and victories," said Zannoni.

"I know the team will do everything possible to achieve it and I will work as much as possible to achieve it. I am going to have a very strong and experienced teammate, which will serve as a great stimulus for me.

"I also know that I will be able to learn a lot from him and I hope to take advantage of it. I am very happy to be part of such an important and winning team as the Openbank Aspar Team."
