"KTM are brutal if the results aren't there" - Aki Ajo is the "man for the job"

"If you have the opportunity to put him in there and maybe get better results you have to do it."

After the Indonesian Grand Prix, it was announced that the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager, Francesco Guidotti, would leave the team at the end of 2024.

In the build-up to the Japanese Grand Prix KTM announced that Aki Ajo would fill the role in 2025. The Finn has been running his team in the paddock for over two decades and has the experience to succeed in the role.

KTM has been criticised and also praised for their change of Team Manager for the 2025 season.

"When I heard Francesco (Guidotti) was out I had to take a deep breath," Simon Crafar said on MotoGP.com.

"He is a very good people person, a great guy to talk to, genuinely likeable and that is why he was in that position. He was brought in to try and get the best out of all the team members. So I was sad to hear that he was out and obviously, there are talks of KTM being brutal if the results aren't there."

After talking about Guidotti Crafar also spoke on Ajo and how he could be the 'man for the job.

"But if Aki Ajo is up for the job I don't know a better man for the job," Crafar continued. "I'd go as far as saying he is my favourite man to talk to in the paddock. He is so calm and I can't think of another way of saying it but he takes no BS, he is famous for that! He is brilliant, and if you have the opportunity to put him in there and maybe get some better results you have to do it."
