Former MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has undergone further surgery on his badly-abused left collarbone to remove all the metalwork inserted after his Assen and Sachsenring crashes.
Lorenzo went under the knife at the Barcelona General Hospital to titanium plates and 11 screws removed in order to let the bone 'heal properly' over the winter months.
He was released earlier on today and will be re-examined later in December. He also had a small procedure on his right thumb to correct a 2010 injury.
