Moto2 star Sam Lowes is running a marathon at the end of this season in a bid to raise money and support this year’s British Talent Cup riders.
Lowes, currently sitting fourth in the Moto2 World Championship standings, has already put five grand of his own cash into the pot before setting about the 26.3 mile run, which will be scheduled after Valencia's 2021 season finale in November.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the careers of the first and second placed riders in the 2021 British Talent Cup Championship at the end of the season, as a way to give something back to the sport he loves.
"I'm raising money for the Top 2 Championship finishers in the 2021 British Talent Cup by running a marathon," Loes explained on social media.
"I'll be running the full 26 miles, 385 Yards marathon distance. It's a challenge I've always wanted to undertake and what better way than to raise money for the careers of two up and coming motorcycle riders.
"I'm putting £5000 in the pot to get the ball rolling so please help me give something to the 1st and 2nd place finishers of the 2021 British Talent Cup Championship."
