Lowes targets two improvements areas ahead of MotoGP Austria #2

Britain's Sam Lowes has targeted two areas in which to improve ahead of this weekend's second MotoGP visit to Austria's Red Bull Ring.

Lowes, who bagged fourth place in Sunday's dramatic Moto2 outing at the track, struggled to get the EG0,0 Kalex off the line during both starts but also says he needs to work on braking too.

The Isle of Man resident had demonstrated winning pace over race distance during practice but the shortened 13-lap race put a spanner in the works.

"I'm very happy with the bike and with the pace we managed to set last weekend. I firmly believe that we can improve on fourth position with a longer race," said Lowes.

"One of the main objectives of this Grand Prix will be to improve the start of the race and also the stopping of the bike. If we can make progress in these areas, I think that in a longer race we can reach the podium. I'm looking forward to another strong weekend with the team.”
