After the Argentine Grand Prix, Luca Marini will remain in South America and test in Brazil.
This weekend Luca Marini will return to the same circuit where he claimed his first MotoGP Sprint podium.
However, this time the Italian will be on a Honda instead of a Ducati. Marini had a promising start to his 2025 season with the Honda HRC Castrol squad as he finished 12th at the Thai Grand Prix.
This weekend's Argentine Grand Prix will be a different weekend for Marini as he will experience the Termas de Rio Honda circuit on a Honda RC213V.
"In Thailand we were able to accomplish a very good weekend overall, so now flying to Argentina I am optimistic we can continue in this way," Marini said.
"I don’t think arriving there ‘for the first’ on the Honda will be a problem, the team and I did a lot of work over the off season to get the base of the bike into a good position so I know that we can start correctly.
"In 2023 I achieved my first Sprint podium in Argentina, and I hope that we can have a positive weekend with the Honda HRC Castrol team."
Marini is off to test in Brazil ahead of the 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix:
After the Argentine Grand Prix is wrapped up, Marini will head to Brazil to test at the Goiânia International Racetrack Ayrton Senna.
There has been no announcement over what machine he will use at the track, but he will be the first current MotoGP rider to experience the Brazilian circuit ahead of the country's return to the MotoGP calendar in 2026.
Marini stated: "After Argentina, I will go to Brazil for the first time to try the new track we will race at next year – an exciting trip!"
