Mackenzie swaps racing for Moto3 management

Taylor Mackenzie is set to head up Michael Laverty’s new Moto3 venture as team manager for VisionTrack Honda.

Fresh from the 28-year-old’s retirement from racing at Brands Hatch, 2016 British Superstock 1000 Champion Mackenzie will take on the role of Team Manager for Laverty’s all-British squad in the Moto3 World Championship for 2022. Riders Scott Ogden and Josh Whatley have already been announced, with the remaining team structure still to be confirmed.

“We are delighted to welcome our new team manager Taylor Mackenzie to the team,” Laverty announced on social media. “Taylor brings a wealth of experience to the squad, both from a racers perspective and navigating the modern digital world. He will be a great asset as we embark on this journey together.”
