John McPhee’s future in the MotoGP paddock remains in limbo but it is believed he has good offers in both the support classes.
McPhee was supposed to move into Moto2 next season with the Petronas team but it looks likely now that he will be released from his contract - with a golden handshake - and free to find a ride.
Jake Dixon will remain in the second Moto2 seat alongside Xavi Vierge while the team’s Moto3 squad is also full with the addition of Darryn Binder to Khairul Idham Pawi, if the Malayasian ups his game. If he doesn’t then McPhee could remain where he is.
The Scotsman could find himself in the MV Agusta Moto2 team, as there is a seat available, as there also is at Speed Up, Pons and NTS.
Petronas were contacted in relation to this but are yet to respond.
