Scotland’s John McPhee looks likely to miss the rest of the Moto3 season as he is still in an Australian hospital following a massive crash at Phillip Island.
The Peugeot Moto3 rider has to remain under medical supervision as he has air trapped between one of his lungs and ribcage and can’t fly until that situation is resolved.
"I'm feeling okay, bit stiff all over but I'll be here in Melbourne for the next week or so as I've got a little damage to my lungs, so need to keep an eye on them before I fly,” said McPhee.
"Hoping to have my thumb operated on in the next couple of days then be back to full fitness as soon as possible."
