After missing the last five Grand Prix, Miguel Oliveira will return to track action this weekend in Barcelona.
Miguel Oliveira will return from injury this weekend for the 2024 MotoGP season finale. The Portuguese rider will leave the Trackhouse Racing Team after the Solidarity Grand Prix.
Oliveira has missed the last five rounds after fracturing his wrist in Mandalika after his traction control glitched during a Practice session.
The 29-year-old will complete his final laps on an Aprilia RS-GP this weekend before moving to Pramac Yamaha in 2025.
“I’m really excited to come back to racing MotoGP," Oliveira said. "My expectations are not very high because I don’t know how limited my wrist is until I get back on the bike and it’s a Grand Prix with mixed feelings for sure, but my aim is to leave the Trackhouse team on a high.
"We, obviously, will be racing to gather some hope and also funds for those affected by the catastrophic events in Valencia so overall - I’m looking forward to it!”
Going into the final Grand Prix of the 2024 MotoGP season Oliveira finds himself 15th in the Championship. Oliveira got his best result of the season at the German Grand Prix when he finished second in the Sprint Race.
