MotoGP new-boy Jack Miller says he has found some of the confidence he has been lacking after spending a second day lapping Sepang on the 2015 Honda RC213V-RS and dropping almost two seconds off his time.
The Australian teenager went from a 2’04.9 to a 2’03.1 today and improved track conditions have also helped. He has one more crack tomorrow before the winter test ban kicks in and he will return to Australia for shoulder surgery.
“Today I’m particularly happy with the progress we have made on the bike, I certainly seem to have found a bit of the confidence we have been lacking. We were quicker on every single exit from the pits so that makes us all happier,” said Miller.
“We got to try another tyre on the rear, and this also worked quite well. Tomorrow we will aim to make a couple of longer runs to see how my physical condition is over several laps, and hopefully the weather will hold out a bit longer then.“
