'Misano 2 will be a special weekend' for Acosta after difficult San Marino Grand Prix

Gold and Goose

Pedro Acosta is seeking revenge at Misano after a tough San Marino Grand Prix weekend.

Pedro Acosta has impressed many in his rookie MotoGP season with his three Grand Prix podiums. However, at the first Misano race of the weekend, Acosta had a difficult weekend. The Spanish rider finished sixth in the Sprint Race and then finished 17th in the Grand Prix.

After a difficult weekend, Acosta got back on the pace in the Misano test as he finished in fourth place. The MotoGP grid was then given a week off before their return to Misano this weekend for the Gran Premio Pramac dell’Emilia-Romagna.

The second Misano weekend gives Acosta a chance to seek revenge two weeks after a difficult mixed-condition race.

"Misano 2 will be a special weekend as we were already racing there last week," Acosta said. "So I hope this will help us set up the bike. Monday's test at Misano was also important for us as we tried many things that I hope we can apply in the remaining races of the season."

This weekend Acosta is hoping for good weather to improve on his pace from the first Misano Grand Prix before he heads to the flyaway races for the first time as a MotoGP rider.

"Let's see if the weather is good for us, and if we can maintain or even improve the pace we had last weekend. Misano is a track that I think is good for us and where we can go fast. Last race before a very important Asian tour, let's go for it!"
